Holy Family Chapel (Kingston)
The Catholic Women's League was founded in 1906 and is the largest women's organization in Canada.
Throughout the country, there is a Catholic Women's League in nearly every parish. In the Canadian Forces, the Catholic Women's League has a separate status.
The motto for the Catholic Women's League is, "For God and Canada". The theme for the year 2015 is "One Heart, One Voice, One Mission"
At Holy Family Chapel/Chapelle Ste. Famille, the CWL meets on the second Tuesday of each month at 7:00pm.
We are implementing the Pastoral Plan for the Year of Mercy as offered to us by Bishop Theriault. In January and February 2016, we will take care packages with socks, bus tickets, Tim Horton's gift cards, and other little goodies, and distribute them to poor on our streets. We plan to do this on the Sunday when our Parish conducts our pilgrimage through the Holy Door at St. Mary's Cathedral.
Please join us as we hear monthly reports from all our conveynors (listed on the left side of this page), enjoy faith filled, full company and tasty goodies!
In addition to its many charitable works, the CWL offers a Prayer Chain Ministry. If you or someone you know is in need of urgent prayer, you are welcome to leave your prayer request in the CWL Prayer Box on the table near the entrance of the Chapel or email Josie Walsh at firstname.lastname@example.org
